As fall begins to bring a chill to the air and new flavors to the table, we like to take the time to celebrate with good plentiful food! One way to celebrate the cooling weather is with a steaming cup of beautifully roasted coffee. Equal Exchange, makers of fair trade and organic cocoas, coffee, chocolate, and more, have just come out with a new seasonal variety called Solstice. This blend is part of their Women in Coffee line. This group of specialty roasts specifically celebrates women in coffee; from those that farm all the way up to certifiers and roasters, to delivery specialists. Solstice is from Columbia, and this blend is available only for a short time! The flavor is bright but complex with sweet and juicy tasting notes with hints of cranberry, prune, and butterscotch. This light roast blend is sure to be a delightful way to start your mornings. We also have a dark roast Solstice blend available – it has tasting notes of bittersweet and spicy with hints of toasted walnut, brownie, and cranberry, making it especially great for espresso drinks. Of course, it is also perfect anytime you want a great cup of coffee! (And let’s be honest, coffee is good any time of the day!)
