Tuna sandwiches don’t have to be just a quick and basic lunch option. This recipe elevates them to a hot and satisfying dinner with nuanced flavors and a subtle sweetness from the Brioche buns.
Ingredients:
- 1 5oz can Tuna
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon sweet relish
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 slices of cheddar cheese
- 2 Brioche Hamburger Buns
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Drain the tuna and mix with mayonnaise, mustard, relish, lemon juice, and seasonings in a bowl. Cut the Brioche buns in half if they do not come pre-cut. Add a slice of cheese to the bottom half of each bun in a small pan with sides. Place half the tuna mixture on top of each cheese-topped bun. Place the remaining cheese slices on top of the mixture, one for each bun. Place the top half of each bun on top of the second cheese slice and place the entire pan carefully in the oven. Bake for 10-15 minutes and enjoy!
