Winter is coming. We all know it. Life gets hectic and the weather gets cold and dry, or sometimes cold and wet. A little pampering can go a long way towards lifting your morale on a gloomy winter day. Mix up a batch for yourself, or have some friends over and make it a spa day. Either way, your feet and fingers will thank you!
Soothing Hand & Foot Soak
- 1 cup Epsom salts
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 Tbsp aloe vera gel
- 1 Tbsp lavender flowers or peppermint leaves (or 7 drops of either essential oil)
- 2/3 full large shallow basin of warm water
Add all dry ingredients and mix. Add warm water and mix. Have a towel handy for drying off later. Soak either hands or feet for 10 minutes or until water is cold.
Optional: Intensive Moisturizer
- 1 tsp vegetable glycerin
- 1 tsp lemon juice
After soaking and drying off, apply mixture to hands and feet. Rub in and leave about 10 minutes. Gently pat off excess.
